Bloodborne Pathogen is a course to meet the OSHA requirement to train employees who are not health care workers.

For only $19, each participant in this course will learn:

• The risk of exposure to human blood serum.
• Immediate steps to take to provide assistance to someone who is injured.
• The proper steps to take when exposed to blood.

Audience:
People who read and understand English at a ninth grade level

Time Required:
This course can be completed in less than an hour.

A certificate of completion is available when the final review is completed.

Drug Abuse Training for Supervisors is a course for persons who have been recently promoted to a position supervising one or more employees. This course simplifies the sometimes conflicting need to protect an employee's privacy and the need to provide a safe and efficient workplace.

For only $29 each participant will learn to:

• Recognize workplace problems that may be related to employee use of alcohol and other drugs
• Identify and investigate crisis situations
• Intervene in problem situations
• Refer employees who have problems with alcohol and other drugs
• Protect employee confidentiality
• Continue to supervise employees who have been referred to assistance related to problems with alcohol and other drugs
• Avoid enabling and other common supervisor traps

Audience:
People who read and understand English at a twelfth grade level.

Time Required:
This course can be completed in about two hours. Participants may exit the course and will be returned to the place they exited when they log in again

A certificate of completion is available when the final review is completed.

HIPAA Privacy Rule for Consumers is a course for persons who want to learn their rights under the privacy rule.

For only $9 each participant will learn:

• the consumer rights under the privacy rules established by HHS (Department of Health and Human Services)
• circumstances when health records may not be shared with the patient
• the circumstances when the privacy rules do not apply
• the conditions when a third party may be granted access to Protected Health Information

Audience:
People who read and understand English at a ninth grade level.

Time Required:
This course can be completed in less than an hour.

HIPAA Privacy Rule is a course for health care workers who need original or recurrent training in the responsibilities of the privacy rule.

For only $79 each participant will learn:

• Under what conditions the patient may have access to their PHI.
• How the patient may control access to their PHI
• Marketing restrictions that are included in the privacy rule
• The requirements of contractural agreements with business associates (BA)
• The extent of the liability of the CE (Covered Entity) for violations of the privacy rule by a BA (Business Associate)
• When patient authorization is required to disclose PHI
• Requirements for a Personal Representative
• What activities that are permissible under the Privacy Rule
• The permissible use of PHI (Protected Health Information) for treatment, payment, and operations (TPO)
